Role:



Within an international environment, the Web Linux Administrator will be responsible for delivering ongoing administration and support for the Web Hosting Service.





Responsibilities:



Leadership





Provide strategic Linux services as required





Manage Linux projects





Assist the Service Owner and Team Lead





Assist with the coordination, preparation, presentation, and implementation of proposals and projects linked department





Be a go-to expert for troubleshooting Linux related issues





Liaise with Partner Organizations on a service management basis





Service Management





Manage, prioritize and take ownership of tasks assigned to the Linux services team as required





Includes service requests, change requests, incidents, project tasks, and others as required







Monitor and take ownership of tasks assigned to the network services team ensuring completion within SLA targets





Technical Support





Provide support for all Linux services





Design, install, configure and support Linux infrastructure





Assist in the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of Linux automation tasks using Ansible and related technologies





Provide on-call support (either on-site or remotely using VPN connectivity) outside normal working hours as required on a rotational basis





Other Linux administration tasks as required:





Coordinate with vendor support for resolution of problems and incidents





Perform troubleshooting and performance tuning activities as required





Apply network patches, updates and perform upgrades





Assist in the planning and running of disaster recovery tests





Perform capacity management and reporting as required





Produce documentation as required





Perform support activities during planned maintenance windows outside of normal working hours







Perform other duties as required







What we are looking for:





Minimum 10 years working experience in a similar position





Extensive experience with Linux systems





Extensive knowledge and support experience of the following:





Redhat Linux





Oracle Linux





Puppet and Satellite





Experience with Ansible or other automation technologies





Experience in writing technical proposals and service guides





Linux ITIL or Prince2 certification is a plus





Fluent in English. Spanish is a plus
