Main Mission:

As part of its regulatory obligations with respect to the Financial Service Act (FinSA or LSFIN), the Bank must ensure all its clients’ transactions are executed only after a defined set of controls have been performed. Additionally, the Bank must provide specific reports to its clients upon request. This role will be to support the FO and MO employees in the execution of this regulatory duty, as well as performing “LOD2” controls on these activities.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Investment Managers with the execution of regulatory controls on advisory mandates.
  • Execute daily controls on the compliance of transactions (Suitability and Appropriateness) in line with LSFIN regulation (LOD2).
  • Follow-up on anomalies (transactions performed without appropriate controls).
  • Assist the Middle Office officers with the execution of regulatory reporting.
  • Produce dashboards to the attention of senior managers on the compliance of transactions and reports.
  • Coordinate/Ensure the maintenance of the LSFIN controls and reporting platform.

Profile required

Studies & Experience:

  • Minimum of a master’s degree in economics, finance/banking or relative field.
  • 0 - 2 years. A first experience as part of a control/risk monitoring team is an advantage.

Language skills :

  • Français et Anglais – niveau bilingue (écrit et oral) ;
  • Autre langue, un atout.

Technical, operational and behavioural skills :

  • Autonomous, rigorous, and a can do-attitude is paramount for the position.
  • Good understanding of query language (SQL) and able to understand database table relationships.
  • Knowledge in VBA programing (any other language a plus).
  • Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Pack Office (Word, Excel, Power Point), tests will be performed during the interview.
  • Good understanding of risk metrics (Value at Risk) and all financial products including derivatives.
