For our Headquarter in Oftringen, we are currently looking for a:

M&A Analyst

Job main responsibilities

  • Screening and identifying M&A opportunities with global scope
  • Developing robust business cases and financial models as well as assessing the value creation potential of acquisition / divestiture / alliance proposals
  • Overall assessment of potential opportunities (e.g. attractiveness, strategic fit, portfolio review, valuation, due diligence, pricing and structuring)
  • Preparation of internal approval documents
  • Preparation of inputs for negotiations, transaction documentation and other related agreements through working closely with legal counsels (both internal and external)
  • Dealing with a project team consisting of 10-30 individuals plus external advisers
  • Working closely with the integration manager to ensure a smooth transition and support post acquisition review
  • Tracking valuation trends and fundamentals in the sector
  • Proactive support of the M&A strategic plan through data collection and analyses
  • Adhering to regulations, corporate governance and policies (including filling, handover, etc.)
  • Ensuring knowledge sharing and transferring across the team and the firm

Candidate profile requirements

  • University Degree in Business Administration, Finance or similar
  • 2-3 years of prior M&A work experience, ideally gained at either an investment bank, corporate development or Big 4 firm
  • Strong financial modelling and analytical skills with high level of attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and proactively
  • Team player, interculturally versed with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Fluent in English, any other language is an advantage
