Maintenance Engineer - Planners Manager
Your Next role?


As a Maintenance Engineer-Planners Manager, you will join our Engineering and Maintenancedepartment and you will be the deputy of the Maintenance Manager. You will coordinate, execute and monitor the preventative & corrective maintenance and repair activities so that the facilities, machinery, power sources and equipment operate reliably and apply agreed improvements to safeguard site assets, safety, health and environment.
In your daily basis, you will manage a team of 5 maintenance planners, you will be in charge of monitoring the maintenance of the mixing room and logistics and your main mission will be to ensure optimum availability of the installations while achieve our site goals.


In this exciting challenge, your main responsibilities will be the following:


  • Oversee the preparation of maintenance interventions (repair, preventive and improvement) and those related to maintenance investment projects for which you are responsible on the Vernier site, in compliance with the rules of hygiene, environment, safety and quality.
  • Work with the reliability department to improve the availability of the installations by the follow-up of our incidences (failures, preventive and corrective maintenance).
  • Reception, analysis and validation of technical files (be proactive at the preventive level, bill of materials, spare parts ...)
  • Provide support for studies, new works and projects.
  • Diagnose & report breakdown problems to the department head.
  • Monitor availability and state of maintenance tools, stores and equipment and advise on replacing or ordering new equipment and/or tools.
  • Monitor performance of technical service contractors involved in utilities and services operations and implement corrective actions if necessary.
  • Provide technical advice to maintenance and operations managers with regards to operational implications of capital projects implementation.
  • Develop monitoring documents (reporting, dashboards, activity report ...) to meet the commitments to our customers and to be permanently in the process of continuous improvement
  • Observe and role model all safety rules applicable on site.
  • As a Maintenance deputy you will also replace the Maintenance Manager and you will be in charge of supporting him for all operations related to systems including SAP /PM (budget establishment and monitoring, reporting, notification/Work Order management)


People management:


  • Coach and develop maintenance staff so that repairs and services activities are completed accurately, safely, and on-time.
  • Manage a team of 5 planners (diverse areas of expertise).
  • Develop the skills and performance of your employees
  • Work with local Operations and E&M management teams and HR Business Partner(s) in developing a local talent pipeline for the function.

Your professional profile includes:


  • Engineering degree in maintenance with experience in the planning, preparation, coordination and execution of Maintenance
  • Good level of English, and local language
  • Knowledge in this areas: Electricity, Instrumentation, Automation and Mechanics
  • Knowledge and practice of continuous improvement tools applicable to Maintenance jobs including TPM.
  • Comfortable with IT tools including SAP
  • Reliable and autonomous person with a spirit of initiative
  • Sense of teamwork, availability, organization and thoughtfulness
  • Skills in management, analysis and synthesis
  • A first experience in a chemical industrial environment would be an advantage.
