For our production site in our headquarter in Mendrisio (Switzerland), we are currently looking for a fulltime highly motivated and experienced Maintenance Supervisor.

Position Summary

Under the direct responsibility of the Maintenance Manager the Maintenance Supervisor will:
  • Coordinates maintenance operations in accordance with applicable operating procedures, GMP and hygiene standards;
  • Ensures that the manufacturing infrastructure is continuously maintained in an efficient and safe condition.

Essential tasks and responsibilities
  • Is aware of the contents of the documents he/she is required to work with; reports to his/her manager if additional information or training are needed.
  • Ensures continuity of production and plant performance.
  • Applies company maintenance procedures within the defined time limits.
  • Manages the BMS system for facility supervision and plant utilities.
  • Organizes work, supervises, and provides assistance to external companies and organizes and supervises internal and external maintenance activities, taking responsibility for the work of Sintetica’s maintenance operators.
  • Coordinates the work of internal maintenance personnel and is accountable for the work performed by them. Develops the skills of maintenance workers towards versatility and specialization.
  • Draws up and verifies maintenance SOPs in compliance with current regulations, GMP rules and company criteria.
  • Manages the spare parts warehouse and machine workshop.
  • Records in logbooks the control and maintenance operations (ordinary and extraordinary) carried out on machines and plants.
  • Promptly reports to the Maintenance Manager and to the Head of the department involved, any anomalous situations detected, related to the state of machines, plants and buildings and any risk situation detected, with specific reference to work safety.
  • Records on applicable forms the operations performed and values measured within established time frames according to procedures and in a truthful and accurate manner.
  • Manages the archive of technical documentation related to machines, systems, maintenance materials, spare parts, external maintenance and official inspections.
  • Scrupulously complies with the provisions relating to safety at work in accordance with the current CFSL 6508/SUVA regulations.
Required Skills And Core Competences
  • Degree in engineering or technical discipline, possibly mechanics and/or electronics
  • At least 5 years’ experience in a similar position in the pharmaceutical/food field.
  • Planning and organization skills
  • Experience in personnel management.
  • Leadership, open-mindset and innovative approach.
  • Digital and innovation orientation.
  • Excellent knowledge of spoken and written English, French will be considered an asset.
