We are looking for you to demonstrate deep expertise in Public Sector, and Microsoft’s capability to help the customer drive their digital transformation. You may have a track record in Public Sector and may have performed in positions such as CIO, CTO, CDO. The broad scope of responsibility of this role requires a solid understanding of both business and technology strategy, change management, and a principled approach to broad digital transformation challenges and opportunities. You may also share a common set of characteristics, such as strong leadership and people skills, and bring the experience that drive innovation and customer value.

You will be focused on the following priorities:
  • Own, manage and develop the technical business relationship with the CIO/CTO of the customer
  • Lead the translation of the customer’s desired mission into PS technical architecture
  • Lead the technical delivery by motivating and inspiring all technical resources involved in delivering the customer’s mission

Your specific actions will include:
  • Digital Transformation - disrupting the mindset of customers and sales teams by bringing innovative ideas that showcase Microsoft’s unique value proposition
  • Inspirational Leadership – orchestrating technical teams in order to help solidify the path to the complex, yet exciting journey. Beyond orchestration, you will display the ability to rely on the help of others and ensure there is an interest to engage
  • Technical Architecture Leadership - leading the design of technical architectures in industries Government, Education, Healthcare. Defense & Intelligence
  • Technical Sales Leadership – differentiating yourself by having a strong focus on both technology and PS
  • Executive Presence – owning relationships with technology executives –CIO/CTO and members of their office and influencing relationships with senior members of governemen


Responsibilities

Account Technology Strategist (ATS)
The ATS is the leader responsible for designing the strategy and architecture to drive digitalization and innovation agenda of our public sector customers and acts as the Innovation and DT Thought Leader. With deep business understanding, broad technology skills and industry knowledge; ATS starts with Innovation/ DT agenda of our public sector customers, connects business/industry priorities to technology strategy and develops value propositions which align with our customer’s organizational business strategies, leveraging the rich portfolio of Microsoft and its partner ecosystem.
Key areas of responsibility:
  • Digital Transformation & Innovation Strategy:Understand customer’s business goals and the PS industry trends, Microsoft solution areas and partner solutions to build the 3 Horizon roadmap to enable customer’s DT/Innovation agenda. Expand Microsoft relationships with customers into DT partnerships
  • Technology Thought Leadership:Reimagine the role of technology as a business and innovation partner to drive DT agenda of our public sector customers, help them understand the impact of emerging and strategic technologies and inspire & influence them for Microsoft technologies to become the main enabler of business innovation
  • Industry & Business Architecture:Create long-term strategy which links business, technology, and industry needs of our public sector customers to enable their business and transformation strategy, based upon customer’s organization, business, technology and industry knowledge
  • Technology Sales:Orchestrate technology sales activities to drive the digital transformation vision and roadmap of our PS customers with Microsoft technologies. Plan and orchestrate the solution proposal and coordinate technology sales teams to provide the right solution to the customer
  • Account Leadership:Change Agent internally and externally to inspire and ideate about possibilities new technologies provide to drive business strategy and priorities of our customers. Own and Strengthen the relations with C-level technology, innovation executives and technology decision makers

Qualifications

  • Fluent in German and English; French optional
  • Experience in digital transformation roles
  • Proven experience working with effective technical teams
  • Solid technical sales experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering or business administration related degree preferred
  • Additional training or education in business, sales, or marketing preferred
