We Elevate... Your Responsibilities

The electrical system architecture department at Schindler defines an elevator’s system layout, functional design and overall system architecture from design to verification definition of both energy and information flow under consideration of code and standards (EMC, power quality, safety).

The Manager Electrical System Architecture is a global role and is both the leader of the local CRD Electrical System Architecture team while also driving technical solutions for electrical system design across our network of experts from China, India and the Americas

The main challenge of this exciting position include:

• Manage and develop the team electrical system architecture for elevators in accordance with functional and non-functional requirements
• Define, document and maintain the electrical architecture of elevator system as per breakdown of functions and their mapping to components (HW and SW)
• Electrical design of elevator control paired with door drive, power converter and machine as well as their interfaces and communication buses, user interface, power management and distribution
• Define the configuration rules of an elevator’s electrical system
• Plan and execute development projects with Section and Product Managers of Hardware and Software, as well as with Chief Engineers

Further requirements may include:

• Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics
• Deep knowledge of integration of mechanical and electrical functions into systems, as well as its industrialization
• At least 5 years of experience leading and developing high performing technical teams
• Very solid communication skills and executive edge
• Financial management (controlling, budgeting) experience is highly desirable
