Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Consumer Health business to create a new publicly traded company. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 24 months, and it will be subject to legal requirements including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as required, and other customary conditions and approvals.      

 It is anticipated that, following conclusion of the transaction, this position may be conveyed with New Consumer Health. In that case, details of any planned changes would be provided to the successful candidate by New Consumer Health at an appropriate time and would be subject to any necessary consultation processes. 
    

Position Description

The Manager of Environmental, Health, & Safety (EHS); IT Systems, Performance, and Metric Reporting manages EHS data systems and processes that are critical to governance of the function. Examples include, but are not limited to NCHC EHS digital EHS management systems used to capture and report on regulatory data and sustainability data; EHS websites, EHS SharePoint workspaces, incident reporting processes, and data collection validation process. S/he is the go-to person for reliable data that supports EHS communications, and s/he plays a key role in EHS community communications. The EHS IT Systems, Performance and Metric Reporting will partner regularly with Information Technology professionals and outside consultants supporting NCHC EHS digital platforms.

The role will support the EHS Digital Strategy & Deployment team in:
  • Lead multi-phase/multi-year EHS digital information management systems
  • Support ongoing Assurance/Governance with electronic management systems
  • Drive processes and improvements for enhanced data quality
  • Collaborate and seek synergies with Quality & Compliance systems professionals on data systems and processes to drive enhanced data quality
  • Identify, roadmap and deploy opportunities for EHS simplification of digital information management systems
  • Anticipate, identify, and respond to Company, regional and site data analytics requests and needs.
  • Identify and create visibility of opportunities for improvement for EHS data quality, accessibility (data pipelines), timeliness, and completeness. Understand and advise on data pipelines/sources and metadata documentation.
  • Contribute to the conceptualization of how we utilize data and the development of impactful EHS metrics (leading and lagging indicators)
  • Create user stories for developers regarding EHS system enhancements and needs.
  • Develop acceptance criteria for testers and facilitate assurance that product roadmap items meet the needs of key stakeholders.
  • Engage with users of EHS information systems to drive continuous improvement of user interfaces
  • Assist in increasing both the efficiency of how data is collected/managed/visualized, and the value NCHC derives from the data.
  • Develop and support data quality initiatives that align with the EHS Assurance model.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Support the continued advancement of EHS information management and reporting, dashboard analytics and the development of predictive analytics
  • Partner with data and/or business intelligence representatives and experts from NCHC functions and segments to evaluate the incorporation of non-EHS data in the development of predictive analytics
  • Support master data management for EHS master datasets and coordinate with non-EHS master data teams/sources to ensure data integrity and minimize unneeded data handling.
  • Aggregate, QC, and provide data to various internal and external reports including but not limited to the Health for Humanity annual report. Maintain metrics reporting calendars for all supported metric reports along with quality control and change management procedures.
  • Serve as knowledge expert and champion within EHS for Tableau, Power BI and other analytical tools as appropriate
  • Support a robust electronic EHS communications strategy in partnership with other EHS staff;
  • Maintain NCHC EHS digital platforms and the EHS website and SharePoint sites

Qualifications

Required Competencies:
  • Education: University/Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, computer science, data analytics, information technology, management or safety sciences
  • Years of experience: minimum 6-8 years
  • Knowledge of global EHS regulations & ISO certifications, EHS Management systems, and current trends in EHS Culture
  • Broad experience with computer hardware and software
  • Ability to understand the IT community & translate this for the EHS community
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and analytical skills to evaluate data and challenge results
  • Strong leadership, ability to gain trust and influence at all levels, and collaborative
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to confidently present complex information in an easily understood manner
  • Ability to work in a matrix, team-oriented environment
  • Language Requirements: English required

Preferred Competencies
  • Advanced degree in engineering, science, management, computer science, data analytics, information technology or safety sciences
  • Certifications in EHS (e.g. CSP, PE, CIH)
  • Six Sigma, FPX certification
  • Experience with Intelex, Enablon
  • Experience with Tableau & Power BI
  • Multi-site EHS experience or multi-regional experience in positions of increasing responsibility
  • Experience in leading employee campaigns and initiatives, technically and digitally savvy with analytical skills
  • Experience with regional policy, procedure, program authoring, development, deployment, and implementation
  • Excellent demonstrated project management skills, including the ability to produce and maintain project schedules & budgets, create dashboards and track metrics and assemble project information into clearly written reports that document findings and recommendations.
  • Strong compliance orientation with a focus on end-to-end global/regional EHS process management
