Together, let’s advance the world of minimally invasive care.Job DescriptionPrimary Function of Position:As a member of the People Services global team, the Manager, Regional People Services, will play a key role in ensuring efficient, cost-effective, and compliant delivery of people services with seamless cooperation with inter departments and external bodies. Responsible for embedding HR Service Delivery strategy, s/he will provide line management support and guidance to Tier 2 People Services team members, with the aim of providing customer focused and highly effective HR services in alignment with our desired employee experience.This is a broad HR role, focusing on excellence in delivery of regional HR Services, continuous improvement, harmonization of policy and process documentation and global process design in partnership with other internal customer groups, People Systems & Services Managers, and larger HR teams (People Solutions, Centers of Expertise, HR Business Leaders). S/he will actively participate as a teaching manager to foster a customer service focus, accountability, and culture throughout the organization.Roles And Responsibilities
  • Continue to develop high value employee procedures and processes for end-to-end employee lifecycle (hire to retire, performance management, performance improvement plan, employee relations cases, severance payments, etc.), global mobility and employee records.
  • Ensure timely, accurate, and value-added delivery of HR services following customer-centric approach.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve escalated complex cases. Take initiative and actions to identify root causes and design process and training changes in liaison with other Subject Matter Experts.
  • Administer HR-related documents, such as employment contracts and other personnel files.
  • Monitor adherence to and comply with HR SLAs. Provide inputs to enhancement of HR SLAs to better define expectations and create accountability for delivering of HR services.
  • Contribute to development of global People Services KPIs and monitor regional KPIs to identify efficiency and digitalization opportunities. Collaborate with HR Transformation Manager to identify opportunities for automation and enhance self-service capabilities
  • Oversee development of templates and adapt procedures when new legal practices are identified and implemented. Actively contribute to continuous improvement of HR processes and ensure compliance of HR processes and data in coordination with other HR leaders
  • Propose, create, and execute HR internal controls. Collaborate with key partners, including People Systems and Payroll, to ensure appropriate internal controls and audits are in place.
  • Develop a highly effective cross-trained team by providing leadership, building organizational capability and foster teamwork for regional People Services Tier 2.
  • Monitor and oversee the team’s performance, training, and development
  • Foster cooperation with the Company’s Payroll function to improve end-to-end process knowledge, excellence, and compliance with local laws to ensure accuracy of pay cycles.
  • In cooperation with other People Services leaders, regularly re-evaluate global processes for harmonization and consistency purpose. Monitor and inform requirements for localization to ensure compliance with local labor laws and market benchmarks.
  • Collaborate with other regional HR COE leaders (TA, TR, TM) as well as HRBLs and HR Managers to ensure clarity on roles and responsibilities enabling effective collaboration and support on People Services.
  • Contribute to updates to People Services Knowledge Base to enable more self-service capabilities.
  • Partner to build dashboards & reporting to enable transparency and access to information and metrics that inform HR and business leaders.
  • Plan, organize and coordinate HR and cross-functional projects and initiatives using the project management approach.
QualificationsRequired Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably with an emphasis in HR or Business Administration
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in the HR field in a global organization, preferably in med-tech or tech industries
  • 1+ years of experience in leading an HR shared service or operations team and applying service delivery framework
  • Experience in lean six sigma, process improvement and implementation of HRIS and Service Management tools
  • Full working knowledge and understanding of HR legislation/employment labor laws, regulations, principles, policies, and procedures (focus countries: Switzerland, Germany, France, Japan, China)
  • Proven ability to manage and motivate local and remote teams
  • Excellent collaboration skills with ability to influence across the organization
  • Analytical skills with the ability to resolve a wide variety of complex issues or problems
  • Excellent organizational and oral/written communication skills in English, French, German or Japanese advantage
  • Experience with the following tools a plus: Oracle, Workday, ServiceNow and ATS systems
  • 5+ years of experience in leading projects and developing standardized processes a plus
  • HR certification is preferred
