Manager Logistics Procurement EMEA Air and Ocean

Johnson & Johnson is recruiting for a Manager Logistics Procurement EMEA Air and Ocean located in Zug, Switzerland. Other EMEA locations will also be considered.

The Manager Logistics Procurement EMEA Air and Ocean resides in the Global Air and Ocean Sourcing Team within the Global Logistics Procurement (GLP) group. The role will have a scope of global responsibilities and the main point of contact for Air and Ocean procurement tasks and processes within the EMEA region. The scope of business includes freight in the Consumer, MedTech, and Pharmaceutical sectors. This individual will identify, develop and direct the implementation of Procurement goals and strategies and deliver against targets for financial performance, quality, service, and compliance.

This role will be highly visible in the EMEA region and globally and an excellent opportunity to shape, connect, and lead.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supplier Relationship Management
  • Nurture and develop strong supplier relationships and be the main contact for suppliers that service the EMEA region.
  • Implement joint collaborative initiatives with a focus on innovation, diversity, and sustainability.
  • Drive and execute cost savings initiatives.
  • Develop relationships with key business partners to drive efficiency and mitigate risks. Examples include IRTE and EMEA Deliver Teams.
  • Contribute and drive input within category strategy development.
  • High level performance of sourcing principles: negotiation, contracting, influencing, cost efficiency.
  • Understand and identify business demand requirements to deliver value improvements.
  • Develop and execute Procurement strategies that are aligned with the business needs.
  • Develop and drive the Procurement vision for, with, and through the stakeholder community.
  • Analyze, monitor and review market trends and advise internal customers on mitigation actions to overcome potential problems or risks.
  • Lead and complete bids when necessary (regionally and globally) enabling a fair decision making process and leveraging bidding tools used by J&J.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum experience of 6 years in Logistics, Supply Chain, Procurement, Operations, or other relevant field.
  • Broad base understanding of business operations/practices and core Procurement areas of focus (spend management, category management, project experience, negotiating).
  • Strong verbal and written communication and problem solving skills
  • Self-motivator, critical thinker with expert analytical skills
  • Open to new ways of thinking
  • Ability to influence above your level

Preferred
  • Project management experience
  • Previous experience or knowledge of air and/or ocean freight and international logistics
  • Knowledge of the EMEA region and established credibility with EMEA partners
