Key Responsibilities

This person will be expected to manage the definition of GM Europe’s product portfolio, volume forecasts and budget plan preparations.
  • Lead preparation & review of Global Vehicle Development gate submissions including support on pricing and vehicle business case updates
  • Define European Product offer based on global export marketing offer; implement local product adaptations in close collaboration with global product planning, as well as engineering and program teams
  • Participate directly or indirectly (through Global Planning) in relevant program/project teams
  • Provide GM Europe’s voice into future programs, supporting Advanced Planning in the transition on content, pricing, and key issues
  • Manage GM Europe’s Product Board process, prioritizing and presenting Product Planning-related items for decision
  • Define the overall European Product Content and go to market offer along the volume and sales targets for new product entries based on competitive insights, market conditions and target group insights
  • Perform market research analysis to support global & regional portfolio planning initiatives
  • Define mid- and long-term volumes (10 years horizon) and align volume planning with internal stakeholders (finance, sales etc.). Prepare volume plan in yearly budget rounds

Additional Job Description

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing, Management or equivalent - required.
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent – preferred.
  • An automotive and/or technical background is desirable given the special and highly complex nature of the business. Familiarity in relevant product marketing tools such as Jato V5 is a big plus.
  • Keen interest and sound knowledge of technology trends, especially in the area of advanced driving assist system (ADAS) and connectivity features.
  • Broad understanding of European countries/markets, regulatory boundaries, mobility solutions and customers.
  • Operates with a sharp eye towards understanding customer/market needs and ability to translate into initiatives that shape offerings to address those needs.
  • Ability to make quick decisions with incomplete or ambiguous data. Able to make sound decisions based upon a mixture of analysis, wisdom, experience, and judgment.
  • Possesses high energy and resilience. Drawn to and skilled at solving complex problems.
  • Strong and consistent personal ethics and a high sense of integrity.
  • Accountability, Willingness to take risk and to be held responsible. Dedication and ability to manage projects autonomously.
