Your ‘day to day’

As a Manager Public Health Epidemiology you will be answerable to the Manager of Public Health and Population Research, responsible for leading real-world evidence cohort studies including design, protocol development, contracting of CRO and day to day project management, as well as ensure the provision of subject matter expertise (within Life Sciences and also to other PMI functions) in the area of epidemiology, statistics, real-world data, health economics or public health, and be responsible for working with PMI functions on public health messaging and communication of project results.

More specifically, you’ll
  • Supervise real-world evidence cohort studies in collaboration with the Global Head RWE, Epidemiology & Data Science, Scientific and Medical Affairs and other Life Sciences teams.
  • Lead on strategic and subject matter expertise for the overall development of evidence generation within RWE, Epidemiology and Data Science and other PMI functions as required.
  • Be responsible to identify suitable partners for the successful execution of real-world evidence cohort studies. This includes CROs but also data providers for the RWE component of the study.
  • Lead the reporting, publication and dissemination of study results including conferences, journal articles, and presentations to senior management.
  • Support the Scientific Engagement and Scientific & Medical Affairs team.
Who we’re looking for
  • PhD in relevant field and substantial experience in Epidemiology, RWE, or similar area, in the healthcare/consumer goods industry. Specific knowledge in the development and conduct of observational studies.
  • Effective communication of epidemiological strategy and data both written and oral. Sound understanding of Good Epidemiological Practice. Operational experience in leading studies and/or CROs. Good understanding of RWE data analysis. Project Management, negotiation and organization skills, ability to build and foster multidisciplinary global relationships. Team-player who creates a positive working environment in a dynamic field.
  • Fluent in written and verbal English.
