The Regional Asset Remarketing Auction Manager professionally represents the sale of repossessed units at auctions nationwide and strives to achieve the highest recovery on the liquidation of assets in order to minimize losses, while ensuring company policies and procedures, as well as state and federal laws, are followed.

Job Duties
  • 25% - Travels throughout assigned territory to perform pre/post sale activities, to include: Monitor flow of vehicles to auction; presentation of vehicles at auction; Inspect inventory, make recommendations on reconditioning, set vehicle floor prices, review condition reports, verify vehicle grades and audit auction expenses pre and post-sale; Submit Exeter vehicle inventory for potential insurance claims; Verify vehicle announcements and vehicle grade to help maximize retention; Work with auction coordinators to approve work orders for Mechanical Services Shop, Body Shop and Detail Shop; Verify repairs are completed and charges submitted; Assure inventory is in proper designated areas of the lot at all times; conduct a physical inventory on a quarterly basis; Make recommendations of vehicles to be sold online after being no-sold; Perform post sales score cards for auction performance; Assist management in reducing operating expenses for the transportation and sale of repossessed vehicles; Ensure adequate process control over Asset Remarketing to maximize Black Book/MMR recovery; Dispose of repossessed vehicles in an expedient manner to reduce average days in inventory; Address Exeter service issues in the field by managing Exeter`s expectations and coordinating with the internal auction coordinators; Build and maintain professional relationships with outside vendors using clear and concise communication; Work with inside sales representatives to keep account and auction activities up-to-date.
  • 20% - Meets the corporate defined sales objectives monthly on repossessed vehicles.
  • 20% - Maximizes the retention of all repossessed vehicles to decrease net credit loss as a percentage of account balance.
  • 10% - Monitors and identifies market trends and competitor activities.
  • 05% - Implements and monitors Exeter programs along with ensuring the integrity of those programs.
  • 05% - Ensures effective communication, both verbal and written, with the AVP of the department.
  • 05% - Makes recommendations to internal Marketing & Communication Departments to initiate creative marketing programs for Exeter programs.
  • 05% - Works with Marketing Department to provide key insights into communication and advertising planning.
  • 05% - Other duties as required.
Qualifications - Education And Work Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience related to asset remarketing, or in a compatible field, with full knowledge of wholesale vehicle values and reconditioning.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in the Automobile/Auction Industry preferred.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in a Travel Representative role responsible for the representation of inventory preferred.
