Job Purpose



The M&A team is responsible for strategic and investment-related assignments for COFCO International, focusing on managing the life-cycle of Capex, M&A and other corporate transactions of the company. We are looking for a strong professional interested in working within a dynamic, multi-cultural team, responsible for driving the planning and execution of strategic and investment projects.



Responsibilities



  • Support in evaluation, analysis and execution of strategic investment, business / asset portfolio optimization and other corporate projects;
  • Support in managing the life-cycle of Capex:
    • Capex policy updates and implementation supervision
    • Prioritize investment projects, drive the formulation, top-down review and approval of annual Capex plan, in line with the company’s strategic and financial priorities
    • Manage and monitor the execution of Capex plan
    • Conduct post-investment reviews

  • Support in managing and monitoring capital investments of various business units, in line with the overall strategic and financial priorities of the company;
  • Support in formulating strategic / business plans, reviewing / analyzing business performance and strategic options, and execution of strategic initiatives through development of work plans, driving market / competitor / financial analyses, and development of actionable recommendations etc.;
  • Develop analysis reports for senior management, business leadership and executives, and relevant stakeholders for purposes of decision making.



Requirements



  • Degree holder from a reputable university. A master’s degree or MBA in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or any other related business field a plus;
  • 5-8 years of relevant work experience in M&A, investment, corporate finance or business development position; experience in agri commodities business a plus;
  • Proficient in all M&A activities/skill-set, including project management, valuation and financial modelling, negotiations etc.;
  • Overall business acumen and solid financial groundin;
  • Strong presentation skills and writing skills;
  • Excellent communication and relationship management of the senior management community, executives, and stakeholders;
  • Ability to see the bigger picture as well as drill into the details;
  • Outstanding organizational and planning skills;
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English;
  • Ability to manage professional advisers and cross-functional teams, as well as work independently.
