Marketing & Communication Specialist (50%)

Your tasks
In this exciting area of responsibility, you will act between the School of Life Sciences and biotechnet Switzerland. This includes the following tasks:

  • conceptualize and edit content for various marketing and communication channels (biotechnet website, LinkedIn, Twitter, flyers, newsletters, brochures, annual reports, etc.), including audio and video contributions
  • update content of the biotechnet website including the competence database in cooperation with the participating institutions and researchers
  • support the president and the board of biotechnet in internal member communication
  • support with administrative and organisational tasks (board meetings, general assembly, contact with SBA (Swiss Biotech Association))
  • act as a contact person for enquiries regarding biotechnet
  • create communication concepts for the recruitment of new members and support in the recruitment process
  • support the organisation of biotechnet events

The position is initially limited to one year – with an option to extend. You also have the possibility to work from home.

Your profile

  • ideally educated in natural sciences with additional training or continuing education in communications and marketing
  • very good written and spoken English language skills; German/French desirable
  • flair for target-group-oriented storytelling and natural affinity for design and layout
  • expertise in online marketing, especially on social media platforms (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook etc.)
  • knowledge of the Swiss higher education landscape advantageous
  • distinct awareness of service and quality
