The role’s purpose is to maximise value creation with insightful and actionable financial analysis for all significant marketing investment decisions globally.


Estimated Marketing budget: around 50 million (incl. global brand campaigns) ?


Key responsibilities

  • Marketing guidance. Translate global marketing guidance into spending strategy, including budgeting, analyzing performance
  • Develop financial analysis that challenges & evaluates all marketing investment decisions and contributes to brand strategy development including price/ promotional strategies.
  • Marketing spending planning/budget tracking / PO management. Budget control for marketing spending
  • Marketing strategy. Run the regular analysis to identify top and low performance against KPIs across brands, marketing channels, campaigns
  • Assess best practices across marketing activation against KPIs to strengthen the performance of marketing campaigns, NPIs, etc
  • Leverage key insights, data, trends, and assess implications on marketing/media investment
  • Safe-to-reinvest / run financial scenarios, such as different spend scenarios, shifting in investment, and Zero-based- budgeting exercises
  • Support global marketing planning processes including forecasting/ budget and strategic planning, allocations across the business and commercial groups
  • Work with Marketing teams to ensure that business performance is clear, performance drivers are understood, including promotion trends, brand/ customer profitability and external competitor analysis
  • Provide senior company leadership on a periodic basis with global marketing and brand performance analysis and updates on key projects and finance alignment
  • Provide Finance input and guidance to improvement of systems and tools

Requirements

  • The role combines numerical and analytical skills with strong interpersonal and business partnering skills.
  • 5-10 years of experience in finance roles, incl. business partnering roles, ideally experience with Marketing & Sales analysis
  • Strong P&L/portfolio management and business analysis skills with demonstrated success
  • Experience having worked in matrix structure with a global remit
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence business, brand, portfolio strategy and decisions
  • Proven leadership skills to create strong internal/external relationships, while being a global team player.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse teams, both functionally and geographically
  • Ability to move from viewing issues from a broad strategic perspective to hands-on problem solving
