Caterpillar is hiring a Condition Monitoring Marketing Insights Managerto provide managerial and technical direction to a team of marketing/engineering personnel engaged in the development of Condition Monitoring Aftermarket Service Solutions. Activities involve regular communication with customers, dealers and product groups with objective of developing new, high-opportunity-driven insights addressing customer needs, dealer operations needs and Machine Business Divisions Aftermarket goals.

Job Duties:

  • Develop new, high-opportunity-driven insights addressing customer needs, dealer operations needs and Machine Business Divisions Aftermarket growth goals
  • Guide the Machine Business, Component Business and Digital teams’ efforts towards increased value proposition and quality of Aftermarket Service leads, through initiating, organizing, and coordinating the marketing strategy and activities for a major group of products/product lines
  • Develop and establish targets and measure results of new service leads
  • Determine products and components strategy and the New Product Introduction priorities to meet aftermarket sales targets
  • As part of the Aftermarket Services Growth effort, investigate the future customers segments needs for product development that will be required for profitable growth
  • Oversee a team of Service Engineers and Market Segment Specialists; Provide coaching, support, motivation, skills assessment, training, performance appraisal and related management functions to prepare employees for additional responsibility

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 10+ years of product support, machine design, lead generation or marketing insights experience
  • Dealer/field or equivalent experience in the areas of parts, service or sales

Desired Qualifications:

  • Prior supervisory experience highly desired
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to develop partnerships within Caterpillar, with dealer personnel and with customers
  • Experience planning for future resources and developing capabilities in terms of people and services, and consciously establishing a culture that encourages innovation, partnering and collaborative relationships and a customer focus

Additional Details:

  • ISE assignment is not available
  • Travel required is less than 25% of working time
  • Primary Contacts: Aftermarket Construction Industries and Load & Haul Product managers, Components Product Managers, Construction Industries Services Development managers, Digital Solutions managers, Dealers’ product support organization. Customer contacts would include Retail, Core customers and managed Accounts
