Internship - Marketing Neurology

Position Summary

This internship is an exciting opportunity based at the International office supporting the sustained growth of Alexion in its core indications & expansion into new therapy areas. This role will report into Marketing Director, Neurology, International.

This internship position will be an integral part of the International Commercial team and will work in close collaboration with the members of the team in order to achieve the learning objectives and deliverables. The individual will contribute to the efficient and effective functioning of this dynamic team and will be expected to be an excellent team player, collaborator and apply analytical skills and thinking to both day to day operations and innovative projects.

In particular the Marketing intern Neurology will support the Neurology Marketing Director drive the International Marketing strategies and execute selected brand tactics.

Main Responsibilities
  • Execute selected activities of the 2022 Neurology International tactical plan.
  • Engage in key International market research studies.
  • Support the launch of Ultomiris in gMG.
  • Support the digital and omnichannel strategy for Neurology
  • Contribute to the development of the 2023 International brand plan.
  • Support the planning and execution of our key International congresses in a context of hybrid or digital congresses. Manage SoW and budgeting process related to congress activities under the supervision of the Marketing Director
  • Partner with the appropriate functions and countries to foster best practice sharing processes and bring local market insights into the team and share with other countries where applicable
  • Contribute actively to competitive intelligence at International level in relationships with the countries.
  • Be an active member of the International Marketing and Global Teams, providing constructive input into discussions and lending expertise as necessary
  • Effectively manage external Agency partners to provide guidance and timely development of proposals.
  • Ensure full compliance of all projects and initiatives led with internal SOPs/policies and external reporting obligations
The incumbent may be asked to perform other function-related activities in addition to the above mentioned responsibilities as reasonably required by business needs.

Qualifications
  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required with a preference in a scientific area.
  • MBA or other business education is preferred.
  • Fluency in English both written and oral mandatory, fluency in other languages is a plus
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Self-starter, willing and able to utilize initiative
  • Team spirit, results driven and internal client-centric
  • Ability to deliver on time to agreed deadlines
  • Understands when to seek help/advice
  • Previous experience in pharma
