ABOUT THE POSITION

This position is a Fixed Term contract covering a Maternity leave for 7 months (December 2021 to June 2022).

As a Marketing Manager EMEA for the International Distributors, your role is to ensure Columbia and SOREL’s Global Marketing strategy is understood, relevant and implemented consistently within your scope (mainly Russia, Turkey, Israel, Africa, Middle East and Balkans).

In this role, you will provide strategic EMEA marketing direction for both brands through continuous partnership with Global, Regional and IDR (International Distributors) cross-functional teams.

You will be the key driver to influence the development of regional and locally relevant retail, digital, social, and 360 go-to-market strategies by closely collaborating with local markets and Global teams.

This role also has the responsibility for being the main contact for SOREL brand marketing for all distributors worldwide, including the facilitating and organizing of sales meetings.

HOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE

  • Provide guidance in developing marketing strategies and calendar for EMEA with execution support to the EMEA markets.
  • Work with Global Marketing teams to design campaign strategy and local relevancy, protecting brand equity and ensuring execution excellence.
  • Monitor and advise on retail activities and marketing plan for distributor markets, working closely with distributor to provide guidance on business target, address challenges and identify opportunities.
  • Develop local digital and social media activation strategies based on Global guidelines, leveraging local influencers to drive both retail sales and build brand awareness.
  • Track and evaluate performance of sales channels, product categories, provide recommendations, and set objectives for respective category growth
  • Work closely with Senior Manager of IDR Marketing to assist in the review of all IDR Marketing Plans, development of marketing materials such as advertising creative, Product and Lifestyle photography, etc.
  • Gather and Share information on IDR related marketing and communication activities to insure they are aligned to global strategies and lead to the development of marketing assets that are relevant for regional distributor businesses by working closely with EMEA sales director and regional merch teams.
  • Partner with the International Distributors on a regular basis to determine their needs; this will include traveling to Distributor markets (if the sanitary situation allows it).

YOU HAVE

  • University level education, ideally in marketing, or general Business management.
  • 5-8 years’ Experience in Marketing or Brand Management, within the Sportswear, Retail or Consumer goods Industry ideally.
  • Perfect fluency in English. Any additional languages would be an asset.
  • You have experience with retail and a strong understanding of Trade Marketing principles. Knowledge of working with Distributors across a geographical area is a plus.
  • Ability to translate the corporate marketing strategy and communicate this to local distributors.

  • Flexible to attend some meetings with different time zone across the globe.
  • Available to start a new role in Geneva as of December 1st, 2021.
