Job content
Neology brings a holistic solution of carbon-free energy storage and distribution for commercial transportation, starting with heavy-duty transportation. The proposed solution utilizes ammonia as an energy carrier, taking benefits from its inherent properties: carbon-free, high volumetric energy density, long-lasting storage capability, scalability factor, acceptance by the industrial sector, ease of deployment, and existing infrastructure.
Neology is developing a thermochemical ammonia cracking device transforming ammonia into hydrogen as feedstock for fuel cells, aiming at unlocking the full potential of ammonia to become a future carbon-free energy carrier.
Your responsibility at Neology
- Design, construct and operate high temperature chemical reactor, required for ammonia-cracking to hydrogen production process.
- Perform CFD simulations to optimize the design of the reactor using software such as COMSOL/FLUENT.
- Reactor and process modeling using ASPEN and/or COMSOL.
- Design components using CAD/CAM software.
- Perform comparative analyses on the experimental and simulated data
- Perform a root cause analysis
- Build equipment with test reactors in experimental systems and analyze the test results
- Establish experimental protocols for reliable data acquisition
- Use basic mechanical workshop equipment
Your skills and experience
- You have a University degree in the field of mechanical engineering or chemical engineering with a focus on reactor design
- You have 3-5 years of industrial experience, preferably in the mechanical design of high temperature packed-bed reactors
- You have very good knowledge of fluid and thermo-dynamics
- Knowledge of simulation programs such as COMSOL, FLUENT or any CFD program.
- Have theoretical understanding of chemical reaction
- Hands on experience working in industrial chemical laboratory or with high temperature thermochemical energy conversion devices is a plus
- Passion for mobility, clean-tech and eager to make a carbon-free society a reality.
- Team player, committed, proactive, autonomous, open-minded and with a sense of ownership
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent spoken and written knowledge in English mandatory
