Your Responsibilities
  • Analysis responsible in spacecraft projects: Lead, plan, coordinate and perform mechanical analysis
  • Co-operate with other departments (design, materials & processes, testing) with regard to quality and cost-effectiveness as well as timely technical solutions
  • Provide technical support in internal meetings and meetings with customers
  • Manage subcontractors
  • Review and release of manufacturing and engineering drawings
  • Preparation of analysis reports
Your profile
  • University degree in Aerospace Engineering
  • More than five years of experience in Spacecraft industry
  • Experience in mechanical analysis of Spacecraft structures, e.g.:
    • Finite Element analysis: Static, Thermo-elastic, Modal, Buckling, Sine Response, Random, Shock
    • Sizing and detailed analysis of metallic and composite (sandwich and monolithic) parts of spacecraft structures
    • Predictions and correlations of static and dynamic tests
    • Fatigue and damage tolerance
    • Experience with Hyperworks (Hypermesh, Optistruct), MSC.NASTRAN, Python, VBA for Excel
  • Experience in optimization of lightweight aerospace structures using Additive Layer Manufacturing Technology is an asset
  • Experience in thermal analysis of Spacecraft structures is an asset
  • Good communication skills in English (written and spoken), German skills are an advantage
  • Must be able to work independently, be proactive, innovative and able to maintain tight timelines
  • Must be available for travelling and working abroad, approximately 20% of the working time
