We are looking for our EMEA headquarter based in Mendrisio, Canton Tessin, Switzerland a

MERCHANDISER

Reporting to the Merchandising Manager, the Merchandiser will define and execute the product strategy, collaborating with Design and Sourcing and US Merchandising team to develop WOMENDenim and RTW collections in line with the overall brand image and fashion vision, margin goals, quality standards, and worldwide market needs.

WHAT WILL BE THE ROLE MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES?

  • Support the Merchandising Manager in developing and following the GTM process with a focus on men business.
  • Collect and analyze quantitative and qualitative data from DTC, KA & Wholesale accounts and translate the insights of the analyses into a seasonal merchandising plan.
  • Run competitive analysis (product mix and pricing), sales analysis (sell-in and sell-out across different countries) and give to the pricing strategy in line with the consumer segmentation definitions and profit goals.
  • Carry out market and competitor’s analysis in terms of product and pricing positioning in the different markets.
  • Develop the "Merchandising Plan" which defines the offer structure of each collection in terms of breadth, depth and the positioning of each relevant product, using market analysis to predict trends and lead product direction.
  • Support the Design Team in the development of collections, in order to find the optimal balance between design vision and commercial goals, taking into consideration regional consumer peculiarities and local sale needs.
  • Prepare and manage the collection presentations explaining product strategy and all relevant information necessary to support and promote sales, including new products and new techniques.
  • Monitor sales feedback, through all sales channels, and ensure that corrective action is taken relating to past season’s mistakes and bottlenecks.
  • Prepare and manage key milestone meetings (proto reviews, GSM), forecasting process, line-editing and sample ordering.
  • Propose Retail price for each item, in line with brand positioning, competition and margin targets
  • Own brand seasonal forecast for dedicated product categories.
  • Develop contents for Training & Product Guide for DTC and Wholesale
  • Support in the development of Sales Tool (incl. NuOrder)Training document for DTC channels;
  • Communication with the agents, regarding drops, adds and line adjustments

  • At least 3 years men denim/apparel industry and comprehensive experience
  • Knowledge of apparel market and market trends, flair for fashion
  • Commercially astute with the ability to identify business opportunities and streamline processes for profitability and efficiency.
  • An analytic mind-set, self-motivated and result driven.
  • Team player and result oriented
  • Willing to travel
  • Splendid time management skills, clear understanding of product development process
  • Strong presentation and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Language skills: fluent English, verbal and written. Any other European language is a plus
