Job Overview

TE Connectivity’s Accounting Teams develop, implement and/or maintain one or more accounting systems: Journal entries, General Ledger, Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payable, Revenue Reconciliation, Cash Flows, etc. in accordance with GAAP policies and procedures. They also design operational procedures and processes that meet audit standards and improve efficiency.

At our location in Schaffhausen we are looking for a:

Manager Accounting (m/f/d)

Tasks And Responsibilities
  • Manage a small team of Accountants in our Schaffhausen location
  • Direct and oversee day to day GL activities with a focus on internal controls and process standardization
  • Manage and control treasury activities (payment runs,…) and IC transactions
  • Monthly, quarterly and annual reporting
  • Tax accounting for monthly quarterly and annual reporting
  • Prepare and review annual reports
  • Technically coordinate and support the teams efforts in the preparation of statutory financial statements and the preparation of tax returns in coordination with Tax and our third party advisors
  • Support and coordinate Audits: Annual statutory Audits, Internal Audits / Sox Audits and US GAAP Audits
  • Partner with Tax and third-party consultants to ensure correct tax accounting for monthly, quarterly and yearly reporting
  • Oversee and coordinate the teams progress in annual filings
  • Process and review/support annual Stat to Tax reconciliations (RTP study)
  • Review and approve Swiss VAT declarations.
  • Participate in different Project teams
What Your Background Should Look Like
  • Higher education Finance and Accounting (Degree; University / University of Applied Sciences or other comparable Degree)
  • Fluent in English spoken and written
  • Fluent in German spoken and written would be a plus
  • Proficient user of MS Office
  • Management and Organizational skills
  • Strong customer focus
  • Proactive, deadline-oriented, analytical, organized
  • Affinity for IT tools
  • SAP Finance would be an advantage
  • Good knowledge of US GAAP
  • Knowledge of SAP, Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) and OneSource Tax Provision is a plus
  • Knowledge of local GAAP (OR and/or Swiss GAAP FER) would be a plus
