MPS Planner NPI, based in Schaffhausen

Overview

Janssen Supply Chain is a global organization responsible for supplying medicines to markets around the world. With Quality as their primary focus, this group strives to provide access and affordability through innovation and strong collaboration with their R&D and Commercial partners to deliver life changing solutions for patients in need.

The NPI Planning team is dedicated to the clinical supply and new product launches (NPI) at the Schaffhausen location for the functional area of site planning.

In this role, you are responsible for delivering NPI project through planning and organizational decisions in such a way that customer orders and NPI project-related orders can be delivered on time, in quality and quantity. You collaborate with many partners in and outside of the Schaffhausen site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Handle planning processes including MPS, DS and material planning activities for NPI in Schaffhausen to meet the annual targets
  • Responsible for NPI planning On Time Launch metric
  • Coordinate internally within Planning of scheduling of a particular line as NPI products run on line with commercial products
  • Identify issue and or follows up on Escalated items that may impact supply in the horizon from week 6 to 24 months with the relevant processes (STEM 2, Criticalities, Quality)
  • Act as a core team member in NPI projects to coordinate site planning tasks, especially with NPI Core Teams and Clinical Supply Chain.
  • Initiate internal processes, especially WF tool requests for the introduction of new products
  • Share information proactively with the NPI division manager about issues and work progress
  • Identify continuous improvement topics in NPI scope and collaborate with other departments for process optimization
  • Support BP process for NPI portfolio
  • Training curriculum compliance (timely completion of training courses)
  • Compliance with GMP, EHS and SOX specifications and guidelines that are associated with the respective function

Qualifications
  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required. Advanced degree is preferred. APICS Supply Chain certification is preferred.
  • 5+ years of related experience in MFG and/or Logistics/supply chain. Preferable within the pharma industry.
  • Clear understanding of internal Supply Chain trends/flow.
  • Ability to act as change agent/leader
  • Collaborates openly to achieve performance improvement
  • Knowledge of SAP highly preferable
  • OMP knowledge is a plus
  • Establishes effective communications
  • High analytical and quantitative skills, excellent communication
  • Project management / FPX (Flawless project execution) certification is desirable.
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives and work in a cross-functional environment where priorities change rapidly and tight lead-times exist.
  • Ability to partner with others; look for collaboration with people from different departments and all levels
