The MPS (Managed Print Services) portfolio focuses on optimizing copying/printing and imaging so information flows seamlessly, while taking the pain and cost out of print management for our customers. This can range from a simple usage-based lease to a fully managed outsourcing service, including workflow software. Based on market opportunities and HP’s competitive advantages, MPS has very ambitious growth objectives.

As a key member of the Central Europe (CE) Market Print Services Pursuit & Solutions team, you’ll be driving the shaping/qualifying and closing of new and renewal MPS opportunities. These engagements are typically >$2M with large international companies and frequently require leadership coordination with Americas and Asia/Pacific region. You will need to be an expert in translating customer requirements into a workable services solution (fleet design and services requirements) and will need to have the credibility and experience to become a trusted advisor to the customer. We are particularly interested in talent with expertise in and a passion for Data science or Big Data (someone who can develop best practices for structuring and drawing insights from client fleet data).

Your Responsibilities Will Include
  • Project Lead of customer engagement from the proposal phase to closing the contract with customer
  • Define Solution scope and design including the fleet of devices to meet the customer’s need and hit the win themes & win price for the deal
  • Optimize and ensure the most efficient way to respond to every bid with clearly identified risks and upside plans.
  • Highlight and seek to improve MPS process or product portfolio gaps or issues
  • Deliver & present Solution Design Document & Statement of Work (SOW), pricing, risk plan, proposal and presentation content and customer presentations
  • Lead contract negotiations with customer & understand Service delivery requirements, third party software solutions and ensure the Statement of Work (SOW) on won deals is complete and deliverable.
  • Definition of a compelling and competitive Managed Print Services & Solution strategy & business cases for the customer
  • Consultative engagement related to:
  • Business development, pricing strategy, business case, value proposition, negotiations
  • communication to internal executives and teams, including internal management review processes
  • Early customer engagement to support Account Manager (customer workshops, strategy)

What experience, skills, and education are required?
  • 5-10 years in Service business environment - preferably in MPS (consultative selling, solution design, service architecture concepts, business value creation techniques)
  • Experience of working with International or Global Accounts as a service consultant or account manager
  • Previous experience as a Services Consultant, Opportunity Consultant and other Sales roles
  • Master or Bachelor’s degree, Economics or Information Technology
  • Data Scientist or Big Data expertise preferred (someone who can develop best practices for structuring client fleet data)
  • Experience in working with and influencing virtual teams
  • Strong solution knowledge (demonstrates comfort with software, product, and very importantly - services knowledge. Easily integrates/applies these perspectives in order to solve business needs)
  • Very Good Financial understanding (confident understanding of financial concepts including saving, investing and debt, Profit & Loss, Return of Investment)
  • Awareness of consultative selling or business value creation techniques
  • Analytical and organized
  • Fluent communication in English and German (spoken and written)
  • Flexibility to travel >25%
