The National Service Manager (NSM) (m/f/d) is accountable for the performance goals and objectives of the field service organization and responsible for continuous developing the service organization and business. The successful NSM will focus on efficiency of the service organization and grow service revenue while maintaining a best-in-class service organization with a strong commercial mindset and an excellent understanding what customers want and what problems there are in the industry.

Your responsibilities:
  • Manage a team of field service engineers and in-house service technicians
  • Maximize operating performance and achievement of organizational financial goals and objectives
  • Provide strategic and tactical direction to the field service organization
  • Creation of service strategy to drive service revenue growth year over year
  • Enforce regulatory compliance as required by the QA/RA department
  • Implement and manage overall service initiatives, KPIs, training, inventory management and standard work
  • Negotiate discount service pricing for all approved third-party service organizations
  • Establish and maintain service pricing in accordance with competitive similar service costs and budgetary goals
  • Coordinate service assistance among Business Units as emergency dictates
  • Participate in all Quality review meetings
  • Prepare, deliver, and evaluate voice of customer
  • Ensure continuum of service from instrument install to end of life
  • Assist in selection, hiring and training of FSEs
Our requirements:
  • Education: bachelor’s degree ideally in the field of science (chemistry or biology) or several years of professional experience
  • Proven experience in managing a field team and demonstrated proficiency in organizational and talent development to build a strong team
  • Business acumen with strong customer focus
  • Ability to deliver organizational excellence in a cost-effective manner and experience with complaint handling
  • Basic knowledge of IoT, networks, IT and Cyber Security
  • Travel: up to 30 %.
  • Language skills: fluent German and English
  • Self-motivating personality that pays attention to details and accuracy
  • Excellent written and verbal interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to collect information, identify and diagnose problems
