About the role

As Neuromuscular Launch Lead, Biogen Intercontinental Region (BIR) you are an exemplary agile and accountable leader in the matrix. You will lead a small regional cross functional matrix team as well as existing Neuromuscular Disease -NMD (e.g. Business Ops, Medical, V&A, CMI, etc ) to work with the Global and Local teams in Biogen Intercontinental Region (BIR) to prepare for effective and efficient EAP, charged NPP and commercial launch.

In this role you will report directly to the NMD Head for BIR and be the key point of contact for the Global Launch Operations Team. Your daily work will be liaising efficiently with the global PDC cross functional representatives (Medical, Marketing, Value & Access, Regulatory, Patient Advocacy, PO&T, etc.) and once reinstated, leading the BIR Launch Operations Team (BIR LOT) that will consist of cross functional representatives from the Region and if appropriate from Lead Affiliates in BIR. As the lead for this ALS BIR LOT team, you will rapidly work with the Area/Local affiliate teams to prepare for EAP, charged NPP, Annual Operational Budget planning and obviously near term commercial launches. In addition, you will need to work closely with the Europe Canada Partner Markets ALS Launch Director to optimize synergies and lessons learned where relevant.

Finally, we are looking for pioneers that are able to connect effectively, inspire and innovate around rare disease launches, be cognizant of key differences across the globe and be able to co-ordinate via matrix and geographically dispersed teams.

What You’ll Do
  • Develop and execute BIR launch operational readiness plan in close collaboration and alignment with global, regional cross functional leads and affiliates representatives
  • Drive global indication planning, regulatory filing and launch sequencing strategy
  • Support the creation of an effective Value & Market Access, Pricing and Government Affairs strategy and Plan for BIR
  • Drive a strong Patient engagement and Patient Advocacy Strategy and Plan for BIR
  • Lead the Operationalization of the Global Go To Market Guidance and Integrated Brand Plan
Qualifications
  • Education:  BS in marketing/biological sciences (MBA highly preferred) MBA or PhD in related field preferred
  • 10 years+ experienced leader with strong track record in pharmaceutical/biotech/ industry - a solid understanding of the multi-faceted aspects surrounding operational launch readiness
  • Prior experience in Global/Regional commercial rare disease launches &/or regional launches &/or business operations
  • Very strong problem solver with a laser focus on prioritizing and focusing on the most important activities to be executed but in a very compliant manner
  • Skilled-collaborator, able to drive decision-making and accountability in a cross-functional environment through strong influence and leadership skills
  • Ability to lead a large cross functional team in the Matrix to develop and execute a strategy without direct reporting responsibility and drive alignment
  • Excellent communication skills, strong powerpoint skills and ability to develop and deliver highly impactful and inspirational presentations
  • Highly collaborative and motivated by team success
  • Very strong analytical capabilities, prioritization skills and project management mindset
