Planning Analyst based in Zuchwil

Overview

The NPI Planning Analyst assists the demand, supply and inventory planning of New Product Introductions and works collaboratively across Operations and closely with Strategy Marketing to support the End to End New Product Development Process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop initial Launch forecast incl. best/worst case scenarios in collaborating with Marketing
  • Assist in Business Plan tie outs and cannibalization scenarios in line with the Product Life Cycle Strategy
  • Provide Plan inputs into the New Product Development Process to support NPI Decisions
  • Support and monitor Plan milestone incl. Master Data Set-up, Capacity analyzes and initial forecast load
  • Create Supply Commits based on Supply Feedbacks
  • Collaborate closely with various internal functions to support the New Product Development Process and raise risk & opportunities
  • Support mitigation of Supply constraints and assists in capacity reviews
  • Track pre-build of launch volumes and roll-out plans to meet business plans
  • Contributes to the S&OP process via Supply Commits and support decision making
  • Track and report on performance metrics according to scorecard
  • Populate NPI Dashboards for various stakeholders
  • Support continuous improvement of processes
  • Partner cross functionally to develop solutions
  • Build and maintain effective relationships and partnerships with key business partners

Qualifications
  • A minimum of a University/bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required
  • A minimum 2-4 years related work experience is required
  • Planning experience (Demand/Supply/Inventory Planning) is required
  • Analytical and strong time management skills required
  • Strong proficiency Microsoft Excel required
  • Good knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, JDE or equivalent) and information technology is required

Interpersonal Skills / Characteristics
  • Strong team player, ability to work with diverse cross-functional teams
  • Ability to work independently in a structured and determined way. Managing priorities and providing reliable results.
  • Ability to network and build strong collaborative relationships
  • Ability to communicate clearly to all levels within a matrix organization

Desirable
  • Advanced Planning Systems experience (APS/APO) is preferred
  • Supply Chain Certification (APICS/IBF) is desirable
  • Experience in global or virtual team is preferred
