Position Summary

The role of the Occupational Health Nurse, in collaboration with the Occupational Health Nurse in place and the Occupational Health Physician, is to "protect the health of employees" in the workplace and to be the point of contact in the area of health risk prevention. Your communication and leadership skills in health promotion will be a key asset to your success in the implementation of new projects related to Occupational Health. Our people are located on 2 different sites (Vers-chez-les-Blanc and EPFL Innovation park).

A day in the life of an Occupational Health Nurse

Accompany Employees In Areas Related To Occupational Health
  • To have a role of alert and detection of individual health situations that could endanger the employee himself, his professional entourage and his employability.
  • To provide professional support to employees in difficulty with the various health actors, and to follow up on situations resulting from illness, and/or accidents, addictions, psycho-social problems and conflict situations.
  • Providing appropriate care in first aid situations, as well as medical delegated acts.
Health Hazard Prevention Activities

  • Support the implementation of health risk prevention programs in collaboration with the Security Health Environment (SHE) group and the Health Occupational Nurse already in place as well as with other internal and external health specialists.
  • Analyze workstations to identify and quantify risk factors to which employees are exposed.
  • Support the organization and deployment of medical check-ups, vaccinations (follow-up of people on assignment, and annual campaigns).

What Will Make You Successful
  • Nursing degree supplemented by an occupational health and safety specialist certificate or equivalent (Red Cross certification)
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience as an occupational health nurse in a company
  • Experience in implementing successful occupational health and wellness initiatives
  • Training in ergonomics, stress management
  • Good knowledge of health networks in Switzerland
  • Good command of computer tools
  • Excellent written and oral communication in French and English
