Your team

Pictet Trading & Sales (PTS) provides direct access to global markets, offering bespoke trading solutions across a wide range of asset classes. Our sales traders, IT specialists, strategists and quant analysts are assisted by a full suite of risk and control functions as well as the latest technology.

PTS is looking to hire an Operational Risk Manager to work in dynamic environment (open-space trading floor). Your mission will be to identify, assess, report and monitor all PTS operational risks (including technology-related ones) arising from trading activities. The successful applicant will also be allowed to work from home one day per week, depending on business constraints.

This position offers an excellent opportunity to perform a large variety of tasks and be involved in significant trading projects for PTS and the Pictet Group.

Your role

  • Analysing operational risks stemming from new processes, developments or products.
  • Conducting the risk identification and assessment process (including Risk & Control Self-Assessment), establishing and maintaining the risk heatmap and reporting to PTS Operational Risk Committee.
  • Mapping and documenting the PTS Internal Control System (“ICS”).
  • Handling risk-raising from incidents, making recommendations and assisting with implementing correctional measures.
  • Developing and maintaining risk indicators (KRIs), dashboards or risk reports.
  • Making an active contribution to the team’s activities, including cross-functional projects such as follow-up of internal and external audit recommendations.

Your profile

  • A minimum of five years’ experience in a similar role (Risk, Audit, etc.) with proven experience in IT processes/projects.
  • Understanding of operational trading activities and financial instruments.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office; knowledge of BusinessObjects and Tableau would be a plus.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and result-oriented skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiating skills and able to work with empathy and diplomacy.
  • Capable of working in a team in a dynamic and constantly changing environment.
  • Excellent command of French and English (spoken and written).
  • The successful candidate must be resident in Switzerland or willing to relocate.
