Reporting lines and interactions

The Operations Lead interacts closely with the Forum’s Finance, Governance, Procurement, and Legal departments, as well as donors and steering committee members.

Reporting to the PANBS Co-Director/TFA Executive Director, with a dotted line to the PANBS Co-Director/1t.org Executive Director, the Operations Lead works to unlock cross-cutting synergies across the platform and ensures that all project objectives and deliverables are met on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

The Operations Lead is responsible for overall performance and integration of the platforms. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing procurement, budgets, and compliance processes in line with donor and Forum policies and guidelines
  • Managing auditing processes in collaboration with the Forum’s Finance team
  • Managing the platform’s impact measurement system and reporting progress to donors and other key audiences
  • Overseeing all official reporting requirements to donors and serve as key operational contact for donors
  • Manage the central Operations function in Geneva for the PANBS
  • Ensure recruitment, talent review and other HR processes are effective and in close co-operation with the Forum’s People & Culture team
  • Manage all consultant and subgrantee agreements and relationships, including ensuring close integration of TFA Regional teams to TFA Global
  • Actively participate in the Platform for Global Public Goods (PGPG) Operations Team and share experience of externally funded projects and best practices with other teams
  • Finding opportunities to align and maximize synergies as well as manage risks across the PANBS and the broader Forum

Requirements and experience

  • Master’s degree in business/public administration, economics or equivalent
  • A minimum of 15 years’ professional experience in a relevant business, international or not-for-profit organization
  • Strong partnership and project management skills, with deep knowledge of grant management
  • Strong financial and accounting skills with solid understanding of GAAP
  • Service-orientation and can-do attitude is a must
  • Fluency in English; working knowledge of one or more among French, Spanish, Portuguese and Indonesian is an asset
  • Excellent communication skills, an outstanding team player who places focus on human resources
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex information succinctly
  • Willing to work in a highly demanding environment and ready to juggle multiple priorities with high degree of flexibility
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and manage multiple projects at the same time with deep commitment
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and leading teams through uncertainty
