The Main Tasks And Responsibilities Include
  • Independent planning and processing of import and export orders, ensure that timelines, customs and tax requirements are met
  • Prepare and work with freight service providers to manage accuracy and compliance of all shipping documents required for successful delivery
  • Notification and billing of import and export shipments
  • Respond to daily inquiries from internal and external stakeholders/customers
  • Clarifications and correspondence with internal and external customers mainly in the automotive industry
  • Documentation and issue of bills of lading
  • Bank contacts – Letters of Credit (L/Cs) – Opening of and checking of L/C’s for our suppliers and receivers
  • Ensure compliance with local and global regulations
  • Participate in audits
  • Develop logistics plans and procedures, ensure process improvement efforts.
  • Observe the safety, accident prevention
Qualifications
  • Sound educational background (an apprenticeship in freight forwarding with a focus on international shipping or similar education in International Supply Chain)
  • At least 4 years of working experience in logistics or other related fields
  • Experience in international/cross border movement of goods required
  • Well organized and structured method of work
  • Customer focused and ability to lead and motivate a small team
  • Proactive and strong communicator in English and German a must
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills with the ability to work under limited supervision
  • Holder of a Swiss work permit or passport holder of CH/EU
