Contexte

The Centre Hospitalier Universitaire Vaudois (CHUV) is the largest employer in the canton of Vaud with more than 12,000 employees and where more than 113 nationalities are represented. The Centre for Psychiatric Neurosciences (CNP) is part of the CHUV’s Psychiatry department and is located within the hospital complex of Cery, situated in an exceptional green setting in the city of Prilly (Western Lausanne). The CNP created to promote the translational research in Psychiatric Neuroscience bringing together both researchers and clinicians. A dedicated building of 2500m2 spread over 5 levels was inaugurated at the end of 2018. The center benefits of the state-of-the-art equipment shared by a dozen research teams working in close collaboration with clinicians. Several clinically well-characterized patient cohorts have been recruited over a 20-year period to participate in various translational research projects. The goal is to better understand the pathophysiology of major psychiatric disorders including schizophrenia, anxiety and mood disorders such as severe depression and bipolar disease, as well as addictions.

The Joint International Research Unit (JIRU) in Neurodevelopment and Child Psychiatry directed by Professor P. Marquet, has a long experience in the development of new optical imaging modalities including digital holographic microscopy applied to cell imaging. These imaging techniques are especially dedicated to the study of human cells stemming from patients (IPSC, Fibroblasts,...) suffering from psychiatric disorders in order to get a better understanding of the biological mechanisms underlying these major psychiatric disorders.

In this context, JIRU are seeking a candidate who will perform developments in the field of optical imaging and will be in charge of the laboratory’s optical instrumentation.

Mission

• Development of new imaging modalities
• Participate in the achievement of multidisciplinary research projects combining cutting-edge technologies
• Contribute in the development of data/imaging processing methods in close collaboration with data experts
• Responsible for the optical imaging instrumentation of the laboratory
• A supervisory role for the users
• Scientific and technical monitoring, writing of scientific publications
• Attendance of conferences or seminars.

• Vous êtes responsable de l’instrumentation d’imagerie optique du laboratoire
• Vous supervisez les utilisateurs
• Vous veillez scientifique et technique, rédaction de publications scientifiques
• Vous participez à des congrès ou séminaires.

Profil

• Engineer, master or PhD in Physics or equivalent qualifications
• At least 2 years experience in optical imaging (such as Confocal, FRET, FRAP, two-photon, holographic or other).
• Knowledge of classical programming languages related to optical imaging developments.

• Vous êtes en possession d’un titre d’ingénieur ou master ou PhD en Physique ou titre jugé équivalent
• Vous possédez au moins 2 ans d’expérience en imagerie optique (type Confocal, FRET, FRAP, deux photons, holographique ou autre)
• Vous avez une connaissance des langages de programmation classiques en lien avec les développements d’imagerie optique.
