Your role

Do you like to work in a team responsible for providing database support for more than 13,000 Oracle databases with multiple Oracle Internet Directory (OID) and Oracle Enterprise Manager Realms?
Would you like to have an opportunity to develop your career working in a strong SME team?
We’re looking for an Oracle Database and Advanced Security Administrator required to work within the regional/global database organization to provide database expertise for day-to-day support of production and development environments.
  • site reliability engineering SRE for Oracle Database Advanced Security with oracle PKI, Oracle Unified Directory (OUD), Oracle Internet Directory (OID), responsible to configure, maintain/patching and troubleshooting LDAP over SSL and wallet to store SSL certificate and Certifying Authority’s
  • oracle Fusion Middleware Identity and access management administration
  • apply database patches in timely manner to address security vulnerability to meet Audit requirements
  • design and implement complex changes, troubleshoot and solve incidents, monitor and analyze performance issues
  • dba support for application development and production support teams
  • out of hours on call Rota, regular Saturday work, irregular Sunday work on exception ruled by seco

Your team

You will be working in the Oracle/PostgreSQL DBA team in region Zürich, the full team is spread across the globe in numerous regions. It is a great team of highly skilled and experienced technicians. We have an excellent track record of solving incidents and problems. Our team has extensive performance tuning skills.

Your expertise

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in providing support for Oracle Fusion Middleware Identity, Access Management, Oracle Internet Directory, Oracle Unified Directory 11g, 12c administration
  • 3 to 5 years of experience on Oracle RDBMS Administration on 11g, 12c, 18c, 19c for large number of Oracle databases. Experience in managing/administer environments with Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control, ODA, Exadata, Real Application Clusters, Data guard
  • customer focused, motivated, willingness to explore and initiate automation or other process improvements initiative, a strong communicator, fluent in English, German is a plus
  • good team working skills but equally being capable of working unsupervised with ability to work and remain calm in a high-pressure environment
  • good working knowledge of Solaris and Red hat Linux, shell
  • experience with Ipsoft, python, ansible, automation tools and processes, PostgreSQL knowledge is a plus
  • university bachelor’s degree in professional courses or equivalent
