Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
  • Experience with client-facing roles in the sports industry and with engaging federations and organizations
  • Experience in digital and/or media and entertainment
  • Ability to speak and write in English fluently

Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Product teams to launch technical partner integrations and/or go-to-market strategies
  • Ability to manage ambiguity, solve complex problems, and scale effectively across a large and highly distributed organization
  • Ability to understand others to enable close working relationships with key leaders internally and externally
  • Knowledge of Google products

About The Job

The EMEA Partnerships Solutions team works to transform Google’s relationships with our strategic and influential partners in Europe. We work across all Google business, product, and internal areas with the goals of growing business and creating public advocacy.

We focus on three areas: Transforming partner relationships via cross-functional engagement plans, targeted executive engagement and multi-product commercial opportunities. Driving consistency in our approach to the industry via One Google narratives and industry communities. And, establishing Google within the ecosystem via industry associations, managing cross-product issues, and initiatives that can accelerate adoption of our products at scale.

In this role, you will be a part of the Media and Entertainment function of the team. You will lead the development of Google’s cross-functional and executive engagement with the complex sporting organizations headquartered in EMEA. You will be responsible for the development and leadership of the EMEA Sports cross-Google strategy and Steering Committee, while providing an EMEA perspective to shape global decision making. You will bring expertise in the sports industry and broad knowledge of the various Google products that impact the industry (e.g., YouTube, Search, and Google Cloud, etc.). You will be a thought-leader in the business of sports, and a strategic, action-oriented thinker, comfortable leading cross-functional groups and building relationships within the industry.

We collaborate across Google, ensuring a coordinated approach when engaging with our most complex and strategic partners.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Google’s partnerships with sporting organizations headquartered in EMEA, including executive engagement, management of cross-product agreement opportunities, and cross-product activations around sporting events.
  • Oversee our relationships and development of partnership opportunities with leagues, associations, and bodies in markets across the region.
  • Construct and lead an EMEA cross-functional sports steering committee, bringing together experts from relevant Google products and functions to develop a holistic engagement strategy with the sports industry and enable knowledge sharing between teams.
  • Build and maintain a network of relationships with sports organizations and executives in the region, ensuring we’re identifying opportunities and risks in the industry and are responding accordingly.
  • Provide EMEA representation on internal global sports forums, ensuring the region is represented in strategy and decisions making.
