Debiopharm is an independent biopharmaceutical company based in Switzerland with an ongoing commitment to research in oncology and infectious diseases in order to improve patient outcomes and quality of life. Our main activities include drug development, drug manufacturing and digital health investment. Debiopharm International SA aims to develop innovative therapies that target high unmet medical needs. We first identify high-potential compounds for in-licensing, clinically demonstrate their safety and efficacy and then select large pharmaceutical commercialization partners to maximize patient access globally.

For our Business, Development & Commercial department based in Lausanne, we are looking for a:

Pharmaceutical Communication Intern

(12 months temporary contract)

Are you interested in supporting our external & internal communication initiatives relative to our oncology and infectious disease medicines in our pipeline? Join our Business Development & Commercial department, within our Communications Team to contribute to the development and execution of Debiopharm’s communication initiatives that influence our partnering activities, awareness of our development pipeline and out-licensing. You will drive key communication projects while having a unique opportunity to combine your scientific skills and creativity in the exciting and varied field of communication.

Your main responsibilities

Plan and write medical and pharmaceutical related content to support internal and external digital communication channels (intranet, web, press releases, social media,…);
Collaborate cross-functionally to gain the necessary insights and information needed to build communication content;
Manage various communication projects from strategy, conception, collaboration, content creation, production, delivery, multi-channel release and measurement of impact, in collaboration with our Head of Communication and Digital Communication Specialist;
Requirements

Your profile

Education in Life Sciences, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology or any relevant pharmaceutical field; and/or Communication combined with scientific background
Complementary educational background in communications is an asset;
Capacity to transform complex scientific ideas to medical communications;
Proficient in desk research activities with good ability to synthesize;
Good knowledge of the MS Office pack, Excel and PowerPoint skills.
Fluent in English (verbal and written), preferably mother tongue. Good level of French (spoken);
Strong writing skills;
Capacity to provide creative new ideas for content for web, social media, pharmaceutical articles, media angles
Able to compose impactful headlines and key messages based on scientific data
Outgoing, creative personality with strong interpersonal communication skills;
Open to learning new technical skills to create new communication content (digital platforms, video);
Able to work effectively in a team;
Advanced leadership skills;
Good communication skills and networker within the company;
Comfortable with Microsoft Office (Word, Powerpoint)
