Reporting to the Biosurgery E2E Supply Chain Lead, the Neuchatel Plant Manager will be a member of the supply chain leadership team and will align, coordinate, and lead all functions for the Ethicon site in Neuchâtel.

Job responsibilities:

  • Ensure the safe and compliant manufacturing and distribution of products through the effective use of quality systems and adherence to regulations while meeting all country and J&J Safety and Environmental requirements.
  • Execute a robust talent management strategy with strong focus on staff engagement (including thorough deployment of J&J Credo plan), Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, while fostering and accelerating high potential talent.
  • Ensure production at a world class level to ensure service to customers while driving the highest level of Safety, Quality & Compliance. Deploy Process Excellence and LEAN methodologies to achieve performance outcomes.
  • Operate in a campus environment and participates in the Neuchâtel Campus Board, potentially supporting initiatives at both local and/or at country campus level.
  • Accountability for executing network strategies and for delivering results across a substantial global dashboard of metrics.
  • Prioritize resource optimization, global project collaboration, influence, and implement projects to maximize value to the customer and optimally manage budgets.
  • Collaborate across a significant network of global partners across functions such as Quality, Engineering, Production Planning & Logistics, Finance, HR, Procurement, R&D, and Marketing.
  • Build and develop an organization for teams including hiring/retention/termination and coaching/development of staff in order to develop a world-class organizational capability. This includes evaluating performance, providing constructive feedback, and implementing performance improvement initiatives.
  • Observe and promote all regulatory requirements as defined per applicable regulations, rules and procedures established by the Company or relevant national/international standards and advises any violation or deviation to an immediate supervisor or appropriate authority.
  • Ensure that all assigned personnel have the appropriate training and qualifications to perform all duties and responsibilities, and adhere to personal training requirements.
  • Lead complex projects on behalf of Ethicon legal entities including transfers, transformation initiatives and technical programs.
  • Provide oversight & leadership on behalf of Ethicon legal entities to ensure substance and optimal performance for associated products and business unit(s).
  • Direct reporting responsibility will be for plant-based Manufacturing and Process Excellence organizations. The plant supports 2 business units and associated product lines.

Qualifications
  • University degree in technical/engineering or business.
  • Minimum of 10 years progressive operations experience.
  • Track record of people leadership, development and collaboration. Strong awareness of key Compliance and Safety Regulations.
  • Awareness or qualifications related to Quality Management, Lean, and 6Sigma principles preferred.
  • Fluency in English/second language French (or highly committed to learn).
  • Clear communicator. Ability to multi-task. Influencing. Judgment. Quality Regulations and Policy, Safety, Operations Management, LEAN & Process Excellence.
  • Organizational skills. Collaboration and Influence. Communication. Decision-making.
