Within Alpiq’s Digital & Commerce division, we are currently looking for a Portfolio Analyst to reinforce our Middle Office team, based in Olten, Switzerland. The main purpose of this challenging role is to advise our traders and optimizers and to model and implement complex commercial transactions. This position is a great opportunity for somebody with experience in the energy or financial services industry.

Your Main Responsibilities
  • Generation and validation of various reports, such as Profit/Loss calculation
  • Identifying sources of error and their proactive solution
  • Analysing of key indicators, monitoring the portfolio structure and supporting several cross-divisional processes
  • Close and proactive collaboration with various internal stakeholders (front office, controlling, risk, back office, etc.)
Your Qualifications
  • A higher degree in business, finance or similar
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in the energy markets or in financial services
  • Above-the-average analytical skills and ability to deal with high levels of complexity (systems and processes)
  • Proactive mindset and pragmatic, problem-solving attitude
  • Fluency in English and German is a must, any other European language a plus
