Key Responsibilities For This Role Include

Every day, we rise to the challenge to make a difference, and here’s how the Portfolio Director Europe will make an impact:
  • Drive and coordinate the New Product selection process for the region, review and challenge countries feedback and forecasts, prepare top-down forecasts, consolidate the results and prepare the executive summary and recommendations for management review, attend workshops and meetings (e.g PRB, assessment of internal projects, assessment of in-licensing projects, review of at-risk launches,…)
  • Identify early entry opportunities and coordinate the earliest launch strategies
  • Find new portfolio growth opportunities for the region (IP opportunities, regulatory strategies, added value products, new therapeutic areas, anticipated market changes, brand opportunities, brand life-cycle management, etc)
  • Work closely with the Business Development team to identify and assess portfolio growth strategies for the region and support BD activities
  • Collect market intelligence, in particular in relation to brand portfolios and companies’ pipeline
  • Track and report on progress with the portfolio filling opportunities and launch expectations (e.g. budget, strategic plan)
  • Interact with countries in particular as part of the gatekeeper role for assigned markets: communicate around Regional Portfolio strategy, support countries in the assessment of products and market situation, identify gaps & new business opportunities, facilitate sharing of best practices and business intelligence among the countries for similar product opportunities
  • Actively support and promote rationalization efforts: enforce projects and launch thresholds, support pruning exercises, drive the yearly review of Dormant Dossiers
  • Perform special projects as assigned

The Minimum Qualifications For This Role Are
  • Master’s degree or equivalent
  • Strong experience in Regulatory, IP, Commercial, Launch Management, Project Management,: local or regional
  • Good commercial acumen and project management skills
  • Good knowledge of the market, regulatory and technical matters related to pharmaceuticals
  • Proficiency in market and financial analysis
  • Collaborative work style and ability to work with and develop strong working relationships with colleagues from various functions, geographies and various levels within the organization
  • Reasoning ability
