The Commercial Software Engineering (CSE) team is a global engineering organization that works directly with customers looking to leverage the latest technologies to address their toughest challenges and transform their industries using cloud-based solutions. We work closely with our customers’ engineers to develop code to jointly solve their biggest challenges to accelerate progress in their organization. In the process, we help shape the future of our own platforms by partnering with our product groups to improve them.

We sit side-by-side with our customers to collaboratively innovate custom solutions tailored to solve their challenges. We share our customers’ experience with our platform and services with Product Engineering to inform their investments and priorities. We also capture code, templates and guidance to help our Engineers solve customer problems in future engagements.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Drive customer engagements to deliver well-defined software that generates immediate customer value through deployment ready solutions.
• Define technology scenarios that help our Engineers focus on solving our customers’ hardest problems.
• Identify and iteratively improve code, templates, and guidance to accelerate future customer engagements
• Lead communications with our Product Engineering groups to ensure customer requirements are understood and are a key part of investment and priority planning.
• Continuously drive excellence in program management fundamentals to continually build our shared best-practices

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Program management or product owner experience including shipping complex production systems that run on a public cloud.
• Experience working with cloud computing technologies.
• Track record of working closely with agile and diverse engineering teams.
• Experience owning communications with Senior Executive Audiences

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong program management (PM) experience in managing customer relationships and engagements, triaging and managing priorities in a cloud computing environment.
• Experience working within and directing geographically dispersed, diverse, and virtual teams.
• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline or the equivalent.

• Understanding of cloud and other computing technologies, including business drivers and emerging trends across Microsoft and non-Microsoft technologies.
• Experience authoring complex technical whitepapers and managing input from subject matter experts.

• Experience with Internet of Things (IoT) solutions.
• Comfort with a command line and OSS software.
• Enjoy travel and comfortable with regional travel up to 25%.
