Optotune is a fast growing and internationally active optics company based in Dietikon, Switzerland. We develop, manufacture and market the latest generation of adaptive optical elements for industrial and consumer markets.

Tasks
  • Development and optimization of new thin film and bonding processes for the introduction of new products into production
  • Feasibility studies and performance tests of prototypes targeted for mass production
  • Ensure an on-time production ramp-up of new products, which transfer from an engineering environment to a stable operation while reaching throughput, yield and final cost targets
  • Design, qualify and install new and improved production and test equipment
  • Continuously improving the yield and throughput by understanding the root causes from a process and design perspective
  • Process quality assurance using statistical process control methods in IQC, IPQC, OQC and process parameter optimization (DOE)
  • Support in the design and development of machines in Industry 4.0 applications for fully automated process control
  • Process documentation and training of co-workers for a final release into a production management environment
  • Collaboration with project leaders and multidisciplinary engineers to create new products
Requirements
  • MSc degree in micro fluidics, material science or equivalent (Uni or FH)
  • Experience in process development preferably in high volume environment
  • Knowledge of MEMS especially polymers, lab-on-chip and surface activation technologies
  • Familiarity with FMEA, Gage R&R, DOE, SPC and other statistical modeling
  • Open-minded for challenging ideas in dynamic environments with changing priorities
  • Analytical thinking, proactive, and autonomous and hands-on
  • Goodknowledge of English (proficiency), German is advantageous
