snacks, the innovative process Solutions of our Value Nutrition Business area

can be found everywhere.

We offer a very interesting position in the Technology/ Engineering team of our insect technology Business with specific focus in wet processing and process related heating, Ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) Systems.

Tasks
  • Approximately 60% of your tasks are in the Mechanical Engineeringfor plant execution projects and perform Commission activities onclient sites in close Cooperation with the Engineering team. Thiscontains the following details:
  • Develop project specific PFD’s and P&ID’s.
  • Equipment and system specifications for 3rd party supply incl bid evaluation, bid clarification with sub suppliers and review/approve sub suppliers engineering documentation.
  • Develop Process description and Process Matrix as input for automation engineers.
  • Develop commissioning plan and procedures.
  • Create system operation manuals.
  • Commissioning of related systems and follow up the system performance.
  • System improvements based on commissioning and operation experience in conjunction with performed data analytics.
  • Perform disciplinary and interdisciplinary reviews.
  • Coordinate specific engineering work packages within Bühler and key suppliers.
  • Another 20% is about developing our core technology/competences in process related Heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems (HVAC) and wet larvae processing by re-evaluating new technology’s and concepts, feedbacks from trials from our insect technology center and operational experience from running industrial plant in close cooperation with our R&D team.
  • For 20% you will Contribute for wet larvae processing and process related HVAC systems to client specific feasibility studies.
  • Global traveling expected around 10% on average.

Required Qualifications
  • Bsc or Msc in Process Engineering or Bsc or Msc in Mechanical Engineering with focus on Process Engineering. Food Technologist with Engineering working experience.
  • Good awareness in automation disciplines and mechanical equipment.
  • Awareness of biological processes and potentially hygienic requirements.
  • Experience in process plant Engineering “Front end engineering” and Project execution ideally with first commissioning experience.

Preferred Qualifications
  • working experience in Food, Beverage, and Feed industry, Chemical industry
  • working in interdisciplinary project teams
  • Good written and spoken German knowledge
