The Process Science, Process Modeling and Data group works in a resource matrixed environment with the Strategy and Deployment Groups and the Emerging Technology group to serve Janssen Supply Chains three manufacturing platforms.Key Responsibilities
  • Lead multi-disciplinary team to deliver integrated predictive and process analytical technology modeling solutions required to achieve goals associated with process performance, product quality, time to market and other related objectives for Manufacturing Science & Technology.
  • Provide technical and strategic leadership in Janssen Supply Chain to support enhanced use of process science, process modeling and manufacturing data to drive balanced and transformational value to patients and Janssen alike.
  • Build, maintain and advance an overall strategy for how to develop and deploy the next generation of process modeling and sophisticated analytics technologies in manufacturing by partnering with internal and external modeling and data science groups
  • Partner with Innovation Strategy & Deployment Leads to improve the value of process modeling by collaboratively addressing business needs, challenges, and priorities.
  • Coaches, mentors, and provides developmental opportunities to both staff and high potential associates and performs yearly performance evaluations.
  • A bachelor’s degree in science or engineering is required
Required
  • A minimum of 10+ years’ experience in pharmaceutical process development, process modeling, analytical science or similar work is required
Preferred
  • Master’s degree, PhD (Doctor of Philosophy) or equivalent, with past examples of technology deployment related to pharmaceutical process science, or process modeling is preferred.
  • Strong theoretical and practical expertise, focused on process modeling, process engineering, new product development and manufacturing processes.
  • Comprehensive in-depth knowledge of supply chain (products, customers, suppliers, plants).
  • Proven understanding of Quality & Compliance in regulated environments, Good Manufacturing Practice and Environment Health Safety is preferred.
  • A proven track record to translate new technology capabilities into value cases that enables sites and external vendors to understand the short- and long-term impact and allow adaption is preferred.

  • 25% international travel may be required at times.
  • The anticipated base pay range for this position is $133,000 to $199,000.
