Homegate is the leading digital real estate classifieds platform in Switzerland. We help people to make their best real estate decisions and bring commercial real estate agencies, owners and potential tenants and buyers together. We count more than 10 million visits from people who use our portal and have more than 8 million visitors per month.

Currently we are working remote first, with the option to work from our Zurich, Belgrade or Berlin offices.

About the role

We are looking for a Product Designer for one of our agile, cross functional teams consisting of a Product Manager, full stack engineers and marketing functionalities.

We have an ambitious product roadmap ahead to revolutionise the way people find their dream home. We are looking for a talented, user centric designer to help us build the best experience for our digital platforms. You will be part of a highly collaborative product team where you can expect to have a real impact on the product.

What you will do

• Craft the future of Homegate’s product experience
• Translate research insights, product strategy and business objectives into beautiful, easy to use and accessible design solutions
• Work with UX researchers to identify and plan research opportunities
• Collaborate with PMs, engineers and your fellow design team to seek feedback and build quality products

Qualifications you should bring

• Design thinking and rapid prototype development. Your ethos is experimentation and iteration
• Ability to solve customers’ problems through design
• Innovative mind that thinks outside the box to solve a user problem
• Designing with data (quantitative and qualitative)
• Know how to work with a design system
• You can deal with ambiguity and uncertainty and love independent work as much as a collaborative team spirit and contributing to the team
• Be honest, humble, empathetic and have a sense of humour
• Be eager to learn and constantly improve
• Sketch App is our main tool as well as Abstract, Miro, JIRA, Confluence and our Nespresso coffee machine! We’re quick to adopt better tools and processes, so you’ll be more than welcome to contribute all the good practices you’ve used before!
• Fluency in English
• Please note: Candidates must share an online or PDF portfolio to be considered for this role. We are especially interested in the methodologies you use. Applications without a portfolio are unlikely to be considered.
