Hive Power is a smart grid analytics startup, helping energy suppliers and distributors optimize the operations of their infrastructure, towards the green energy transition.
We are looking for an experienced product designer, that can own the product experience lifecycle, from ideas gathering to interfaces creation and optimization.

• Execute end-to-end design efforts across all our platforms, from conception with stakeholders to final implementation with engineering
• Oversee the user experience of products from conception through launch as well as additional ongoing iterations
• Work closely with product managers, engineering and leadership in a highly collaborative environment to facilitate, lead, challenge, and build consensus on solutions

Requirements

• Be an accomplished UX designer who can solve challenging user experience problems with simple, empathetic solutions
• Ability to define problems & goals, map user flows, prototype interactions, and oversee the development process across different client platforms
• Strong collaboration skills across disciplines that drive change in products and teams
• Demonstrated ability to think at a high level about product strategy but also act–with speed and precision–to identify and deliver the tactical pieces that realize it
• Thorough knowledge and experience across a range of design approaches, methodologies, including low and high fidelity prototyping skills
• Have a deep understanding of the materials and constraints of the web. While this role may not contribute production code, you should be familiar with modern front-end engineering tools and practices
• Embrace a highly iterative design process. We value teammates who are highly adaptive and great listeners. You must be adept at giving and receiving critiques in a collaborative environment
• Language: Fluent in English (Italian is a plus)

• This is an individual, hands-on contributor role (not people management for now)
• Part-time (at least 60%) permanent position
• Located in Lugano, Switzerland
