About Our Client

We’re currently supporting a dynamic and innovative SME, which is specialized in the development and production of polymers and compounds and is based in Kanton Schwyz. In order to diversify the product portfolio by expanding their customized product offering, we’re looking for an experienced Product Development Leader, mainly focussing on the development of additive masterbatches.

Tasks And Responsibilities
  • Lead and drive innovation projects using internal and external resources as well as the existing partner network
  • Stay on top of technology developments along the value chain
  • Manage key suppliers to define new and support existing supply chains
  • Maintain and troubleshoot assigned products for the entire product life cycle
  • Provide technical expertise and support to Sales, both in-house as well as in front of customers
  • Define technical specifications and regulatory documentations
  • Define new and further develop existing production technologies for the assigned product portfolio Profile
  • Background in material science, chemical or polymer engineering
  • You can offer several years of experience in engineering and development within an international setting
  • You have a proven expertise and understanding of polymer processes, which also includes compounding extruders, injection moulding or film extrusion
  • In general you’d describe yourself as a curious person who stays up-to-date with regards to polymer technology thanks to an intrinsic motivation
  • You work analytically and well-structured, e.g. with regards to the characterization of polymers
  • You are an expert in plastics, fibers, films and/or medical applications for polyester and polyamide
  • Proficiency in English and German is required, fluency in other languages would be an advantage)
  • Travelling of 10-20% is required
  • You’re either based in Switzerland already or bring the ability to relocate Pensum 100%
