This position will be located in New Brunswick, NJ, Skillman, NJ, Fort Washington, PA, or Gubelstrasse, Zug, Switzerland (may be office-based or remote in US or EMEA with a capability to overlap 5 hours into Raritan, NJ business day).

Job Description

Johnson & Johnson is undertaking a major strategic transformation of our Identity and Access Management landscape over the next 3 years. This role will be within our J&J Information Security and Risk Management (ISRM) organization, working at the intersection of business strategy, human-centered design, and emerging technology platform/program delivery. It could be office-based or remote in US or EMEA with a capability to overlap 5 hours into Raritan, NJ business day.

As Director of xIAM, you will be responsible for external identities, including consumers, customers and suppliers, that interact with company assets. You will be implementing and supporting Identity and Governance policies for external identities to increase security compliance, balanced with the need to provide flexible and adaptive authentication capabilities to external parties. You will leverage identity reporting and identity governance integration to mitigate the risk involved with access management of external actors. The culmination of effective policies for external identities will spotlight how hardened critical assets are as per the Service Level Agreement (SLA). This role requires technical experience in multiple fields such as External Identify and Access Management for customers, consumers, and suppliers.

Responsibilities
  • Improves strategies for the delivery of IAM services across J&J’s global footprint. Builds future-ready capabilities to accelerate business growth strategies. Facilitates and coordinates priorities with suppliers, IT Infrastructure Services departments, and Business IT groups.
  • Creates opportunities for efficiencies through innovative strategic decisions balancing cost and quality while maintaining appropriate levels of compliance and security.
  • Uses existing solutions and expertise to manage business partners’ expectations, balancing business needs and regional/global solutions
  • Partners with Security and Enterprise Architects to identify and evaluate emerging technologies and products for potential in the IAM ecosystem.
  • Builds a consistent view of information that supports business decisions and enables tracking of business performance. Implements strong analytic tools that improve decision-making and enable automation.
  • Develops plans, implementation timelines, and deployment schedules for IAM initiatives. Oversee engineering, support, and maintenance of the Enterprise IAM systems.
  • Delivers high-quality work outcomes and customer service in a high-pressure, fast-paced setting to meet company needs.
  • Leads recruitment, development, and management of a team of IT professionals, ensuring diversity, equity, and inclusivity, fostering collaboration, performance management, training, accountability of metrics, and compliance with all policies and procedures.
  • Maintains key vendor relationships across the platforms and services that include the primary platforms (One Identity, Microsoft, Ping, Radiant SAP, Akamai).
  • Manages identities’ policies and procedures to create a positive relationship with the internal access management
  • Manages identities’ authentication capabilities to create a positive user experience for external audiences

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree or equivalent by track record of successful enterprise experience. Graduate degree preferred.
  • At least 10 –12 years of broad IT infrastructure experience with 5+ years of IAM Engineering, architecture and operational support in a multi-platform, multi-vendor environment.
  • 5+ years in a managerial capacity
  • 5 years of Information Security experience
  • Outstanding people management and employee relations skills.
  • Strong leadership presence, influencing, collaboration, communication information-sharing and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment and prioritize in parallel.
  • Customer service orientation, eye for business value, and a bias for action.
  • Expert at working with virtual, and diverse global teams of varied backgrounds and cultural experiences.
  • Exercises independent judgment, strong decision making, and problem-solving for key processes.
  • Experience in xIAM supporting actors such as customers, consumers, and suppliers
  • Ability to understand the relationship between internal and external entities’ privileges and policies
  • Certifications in IAM and InfoSec (CIDPRO™, CISM, CISSP).
  • Experience within regulated environments (GxP or SOx)
