JOB DESCRIPTION

The Production Director ensures to understand the agency’s client’s requirements, manages and executes all aspects of the events production accordingly. The Production Director oversees the preparation of production proposals, statement of work and presentation to client. The incumbent informs Project Managers on event production overall budget, workflows, viable technical solution, he/she manages and monitors production activities, adjusts schedule to ensure on-time delivery. The role requires building strong working relationships with cross-functional executives to secure client satisfaction and Production Team management by project.

This role has a team management responsibility and reports to the hub Executive Director – Production.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (includes but is not limited to)

  • Manage assigned events production processes, schedule, budget for technical services, decoration, signage, branding and furniture in concertation with project managers
  • Participate in brainstorms to conceive concepts for proposals
  • Attend cross-functional meetings to offer production leadership, expertise and innovative technical solutions
  • Work with Project Managers in the formulation of proposal document & presentation
  • Lead Production Team by project in the research and budgeting of the projects
  • Lead bidding, procurement and suppliers’ contractual process
  • Select, brief and manage suppliers to ensure quality delivery at best negotiated costs
  • Ensure that the production of the event is delivered while keeping track of the budget
  • Ensure an accurate technical brief is submitted to the Creative Team for all graphic, multimedia and 3D work output related to the project
  • Produce the necessary documentation such as technical plan, schedule and signage plan to ensure a flowless execution by our partners
  • Brief all technical and decoration suppliers with floor plan and technical plan
  • Maintain accurate and complete project files, reports on client or supplier
  • Ensure and is responsible for compliance with health, safety and security policies, during the preparation phase and on-site in place in order to minimize operational risks
  • Adhere to all company and departmental policies and ensure all services standards, providers, are compliant with company policies regarding security, confidentiality, sustainability and social responsibility

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven work experience as Event Production Director - minimum 8 years
  • Proven portfolio of event previously produced
  • Excellent writing skills in French, English - German is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in event management or a related discipline
  • Excellent organizational skills, including multitasking, time management, and meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to handle pressure and make split-second decisions
  • Flexibility to travel both domestic and internationally, as needed
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Software, program: CAD
