The name Sécheron Hasler Group is a worldwide synonym for Swiss Quality and represents a leading reference for state-of-the-art products supplied to the market.With more than 1’200 employees worldwide, we are wherever our customers are around the globe, supplying products approved in our customers’ countries or markets and deliver supply chain and customer services locally.For our site in Geneva, we are currently looking for aGeneva Production Manager 100%In this role, you will head the production and warehouse of the Geneva plant, reporting directly to the Head of Operations of the Electrical Safety Solutions Business Unit. You will manage an organisation of about 100 colleagues with three direct reports. In a 2 nd phase, the position could be expanded to the lead of the planning function. You will have to continuously improve our Service Level, Quality, Costs and Safety.Your main tasks will be:
  • Deliver the goods to our customers according to the promise dates. Take all actions needed to achieve customer satisfaction;
  • Be present on the shop floor to support the staff on a daily basis;
  • Develop a continuous improvement culture inside the organisation by developing a mindset of transparency, collaboration, decentralization and conscientiousness;
  • Develop inside the production and the warehouse a culture of risk management and ergonomics improvement leading to a reduction of the incidents and absenteeism;
  • Enforce the discipline and the respect of the norms in place, develop the sensitiveness to Quality and High Service level;
  • Improve the efficiency by introducing and training modern production methodologies like Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing;
  • Optimize the short term planning process for guaranteeing a consistent order confirmation and short term production scheduling;
  • Plan the production and warehouse capacity accordingly to the market need to allow a high and consistent service level;
  • Increase the flexibility of the production to cope efficiently with ramp-up or ramp-down of the market, including the management of the competences and the versatility of the operators;
  • Generate regularly cost improvements ideas and lead them to success;
  • Collaborate closely with the Production Engineering team for the generation and the deployment of process and equipment improvements;
  • Elaborate the budget of headcounts, production Operational and Capital expenses proposition;
  • Recruit temporary production employees when needed, closely collaborating with the Human Resources department.
Your ProfileAs our ideal candidate, you bring:
  • Very strong proven customer orientation, like to provide services;
  • Ability to train the staff to fill any knowledge gaps and control the strict respect of the rules;
  • More than five years of experience in a similar position
  • Bachelor degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, completed with training in modern production management methodologies;
  • Experience with an international matrix organization in a middle size industrial company;
  • Experience of the mechanics, mechatronics or electronics, with both middle and low volume;
  • You are passionate with the shop floor management, determination and leadership skills, ability to motivate through clear, simple and positive communication;
  • At ease with IT tools, familiar with ERP and good understanding of the MRP processes;
  • Fluent in French and English
