For its Swiss subsidiary (IHT Industrie Haute Technologis SA), Sunfire is looking for :

Production Manager 100%

1 – Your main tasks

The Production Manager will be reporting directly to the General Manager

The Production Manager makes sure goods and services are produced safely, cost-effectively and on time and that they meet the required quality standards. He/She is responsible for both human and material resources.

2 – Job activities

  • Plan and draw up a production schedule
  • Decide on and order the resources that are required and ensure stock levels remain adequate
  • Select equipment and take responsibility for its maintenance
  • Set the quality standards in accordance with the company’s guidelines
  • Draft the production budget (OPEX and CAPEX) and its assumptions
  • Monitor the production processes and adjust schedules as needed
  • Monitor productivity KPIs and product standards and implement and maintain quality control programmes
  • Supervise the repair and maintenance of the equipment
  • Liaise with internal and external partners (i.e. suppliers)
  • Ensure that health and safety guidelines for the employees are followed at all times in accordance of the government and company regulations
  • Ensure customers’ orders are completed on time and to budget and that quality standards and targets are met
  • Work with company’s internal partners to align and implement the company’s policies and goals
  • Collate and analyse data for both managers and customers production reports
  • Supervise and motivate a team of workers
  • Review worker performance and identify training needs.

3 – Education, Training & Skills

  • Successfully completed degree in engineering (chemistry, mechanical, electrical) or other relevant discipline
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in industrial chemistry, QA/QC
  • Fluent in French and English (written and spoken), German as a plus
  • Problem Solving and Critical Thinking
  • Hands-on attitude
  • Ability to communicate within multi disciplinary and multi cultural teams
  • Excellent planning and organisation skills to run and monitor the production process
  • Ability to analyze data and draw conclusions and actions where and if needed
  • Organizational skills are essential for the day-to-day work and for the data management (accessibility within the company network)
